The iNEXT website (www.inext-eu.org) is operated by the Coordinating partner Utrecht University on behalf of the iNEXT consortium that is funded by the European Commission (Horizon-2020 Grant number 653706). We are committed to protect your privacy on this website.
You can browse through most of our web pages without submitting any personal details.
The iNEXT website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. This allows us to monitor statistics for visitor use. Google stores the information collected by the cookie on servers in the United States and may transfer this information to third parties whenever required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. By using the iNEXT website, you consent to the processing of your browsing data by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above. Google Analytics offers an Opt-out Browser Add-on.
The iNEXT website contains a “Contact” to allow visitors to send comments to a specific mailbox hosted by the Coordinating Partner Utrecht University. When you send such a message, your personal data is used only to the extent necessary to reply. If the management team of the mailbox is unable to answer your question, it can forward your email to another party. You will be informed, via email, about which party your question has been forwarded to. If you have any questions about the processing of your email and provided personal data, you can include those in your message.
iNEXT registration and stored personal data
Registration with iNEXT is required for gaining access to our research facilities. Your registration data is managed through the online access management system ARIA, which is operated by Instruct-ERIC and hosted from web-servers in Oxford, UK. The legal responsibility for the collected registration information is described in a Data Processing Agreement that has been signed between iNEXT (the Data Controller) and Instruct-ERIC (the Data Processor). During registration, we will store your name, email address, host institute, nationality, and some additional information.
Use of personal data
Your personal data is used within the iNEXT consortium to monitor user access statistics. Some information is forwarded to iNEXT external moderators and peer-reviewers who acknowledge and accept GDPR privacy regulations. We are also obliged to share your registration data with the European Commission, which might make it publicly available. Your email address may sometimes be used by iNEXT to communicate with you, and sporadically by Instruct-ERIC to inform you of access, networking and training opportunities that may be of interest to you. Your personal data will otherwise not be passed on, sold or transferred to third parties. The iNEXT Grant Agreement with the European Commission requires that personal data is kept for a period of five years after the project’s final payment.
